2026 Awareness & Prevention Youth Summit: Facts, Choices and Futures
Event Overview
The Awareness & Prevention Youth Summit is a two-day, prevention-focused educational experience designed for middle and high school students across multiple districts, addressing substance use prevention, mental health literacy, and suicide awareness and prevention. The summit delivers accurate, age-appropriate information related to substance use, mental health, and healthy decision-making while centering youth voice, leadership, and creativity.
The event is content-aligned with National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week, but intentionally scheduled outside the official campaign week to avoid conflicts with local school ∙district spring breaks. Evidence-based literature will be incorporated while allowing flexibility in scheduling and program design.
